HOW CAN I. . . Make a room feel Relaxing? Cozy? Romantic?
Keep the foundation classic and play with accessories and color to reflect your own evolving style. Color dictates mood. Let the color wheel be your guide.
  • Cool, watery hues are calming,
  • Earthy, neutral tones add warmth; and
  • Bold,bright colors excites.
Make a room look bigger? Add mirrors to expand the space; use cool or light colors that tend to make walls recede thus opening up the area.

Make a room work with my lifestyle? Be realistic. Messy? Don't use open storage.

Shedding dog? No white or light fabrics.

Lots of kids? Durable materials.

Make a room look more interesting?
Think about layering. Use a collection of fabrics, for example, mix stripes with solids or geometrics; include textures like sisal, chenille and wovens; and go for a range of colors. All of these will give a room depth and avoid monotony.
